Windows 10: Win 11 new Media Player - turning music folders into playlists

New Media Player does not maintain folder structure when displaying the music from Explorer music folder. It just shows all the files in one big list, no folders. You can import a folder but it then just adds the files to the list, no folder. There is no option to sort by folder, only file by name, artist, album, date or genre. My music sub folder organization in explorer are not carried over.My music folders are basically organized into what I would want to turn into playlists.Makes it very hard to create playlists to replicate my music folders as the file attributes in each folder varies.

Windows media player playlist music to new location.

I have created a playlist in windows media player but media player will not copy the music to my gslsxy notewith android version 4.4.2 because of the SD card writing problem. I would like to copy the music in the playlist to a new folder which is on a
usb/SD card thwat I can then use the galaxy file manager to copy to the sd card in my phone. I just want to be able to copy the music files in a windows media player playlist to a new location. I.E. a single folder. I am wondering if this is possible and how
I can do this?

 

Importing Playlist from Windows Media Player to Windows 8 Phone

I was able to create a play list with Windows Media Player and add it to my phone and it copied the songs. I did this with Windows 8.1 with the following steps

• Run Windows Media Player. This is the desktop app, not the Music app from the Start screen.
• Created a new playlist and added some songs to the playlist.
• Started the Windows Phone App (the modern UI version, not the desktop version)
• Clicked the "Add to phone" button and selected "Add playlists".
• Navigated to the folder containing the playlist created by Windows Media Player. The default folder is "This PC > Music > Playlists" and the file will have a .wpl file extension.
• Select the playlist and click the add button.

You should see some notification that the playlist and the music files were copied to the phone.

 

Can I recover Windows 7 Media Player playlists?
