Windows 10: Win 11 Printer issues

I have updated from the initial Win 11 install in Decmember to today's KB5010414 cumulative update and KB5010474 .NET Framework for 3.5 and 4.8. Both installs reported to be successful. Now all printers are offline and give errors such as "queue has items waiting" when trying to print. Settings> Printers indicator changes from READY to DEFAULT ERROR. The default printer is Brother HL-L2395DW and driver is reported as up to date. The other printers are Canons, 9100 series and 8600 series; all printers are wifi networked through a Netgear AC1750 router. The default Brother printer say

HP Deskjet 9300 printer on Win 7 or Win 8.1

But it does ask you to connect the printer

Step Two
11. Connect the USB cable to the product, and connect the USB cable to the computer. A Device driver software was not successfully installed window opens.

Step three:
3. Click the drop down menu, and then change the port from LPT1 to USB or DOT4.virtual

If you connect the printer in Step two #11 then maybe when you get to Step three #3 there will be USB port in the list.

• Is it a wired or wireless printer?
• Is the printer connected via network to your computer?

I suggest you to make printer as a default printer you can follow the below steps:

• Press Windows key+ X and select
  device manager.
• Select devices and printers
• Right click on the printer you want to use, and then click
  set as default printer (You'll see a check mark on the printer's icon signifying that it's now your default printer).

I suggest you to update the drivers for the printers and check if it helps.

I also recommend you to run the print troubleshooter to check the issue.

I am sorry to know that you are having issues with Printer.

What and all steps have you tried so far?

Restart the computer and check.

Also, check for Windows updates.

I suggest you to run the Printer Troubleshooter and check if it helps.

  In Search window type Troubleshooting and click on it to open it.

  Click on Hardware and Sound.
  
• 
  Then click on Printer to run the troubleshooter. Follow onscreen steps.
