Windows 10: Win 11 processor requirements

Hello,I have a relatively new and powerful PC, however the Win11 PC health check is stating that my processor is not supported. I am using an Intel Core i5-7500 CPU @3.40Ghz. All other device specifications pass with flying colors. Curious why this particular processor is not supported, considering a good number of Core i3 processors are.Also, is it possible that support will be added at a later date for my processor?And is the only other options to either:1: Buy a new computer2: Install from ISO vs. in-place upgrade?Thank You

Win 11 compatibility

You do not need to reply to me. You can post in this thread to get the benefit of everybody's wisdom. Such as that of Bree who has also read the Windows 11 section of Windows Processor Requirements - MSDocs and has identified that your CPU is not listed there.

Introducing Windows 11

It looks like processors after 2018 will be supported. Here is a list of processors; Windows 11: List of Intel, AMD and Qualcomm Processors Compatible and Official Minimum System Requirements - MySmartPrice

 

Win 11 compat app

Both your CPU and graphics card should be ok- your CPU is on the list:
Windows 11 CPU List Released | WePC

and your graphics card is new enough to support DirectX 12.

These requirements are set by the installer of Win 11. Detailed specs for Win 11 have been released by MS and are given in other such threads here and on elevenforum, but may change slightly before official release.
