Windows 10: Win 11 Remote Desktop login to a computer without a password.

Hi, I have a computer on my network that I need to be able to remotely log into. The computer I need to log into uses local account without a password so that it can be started up unattended and without the need for a password which the computer does.Prior to me setting up the no password local account, I had an account that had a password and/or a picture password which I was able to use remote desktop to manage some programs on the computer. With the local account, I can no longer remote desktop into the computer.Is there some way to configure remote desktop on the remote computer to allow

Remote Desktop Login Failed

I just purchased a new Windows 11 system and I am using another Windows 11 system on my laptop to access the system through remote desktop and I get an error that says that the login failed. Something in the new Windows 11 system is blocking logins from remote desktop:

• I am using my standard Windows credentials to login locally. I have Administrator rights to the system, and a local login works fine.
  
• I can use Remote Desktop to login to another similar Windows 11 desktop using remote desktop with the same credentials and that also works fine.
  
• I've enabled Remote Desktop access in settings and specified my account as being authorized to login with Remote Deskttop.
  

I've gone through all the support articles I could find on the internet on this problem and I implemented the group policy fixes that have been recommended but it still hasn't resolved the problem. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Remote desktop password not in sync with login password. (Solution)

Hello, I have been searching the internet for a couple of days now trying to figure out why I was not able to connect to my Acer Laptop that I just upgraded from Win 11 home to Win 11 Pro.

Turn out the solution is quite simple but the cause might be a bug in Microsoft Account Management.

I have four PCs that use the same login account, a Microsoft account. I had to change the password recently. I use Window Hello to login in each PCs and each one have a different pin number and even a different Hello method for one of them. I am used to remote connect from my Acer laptop to an HP desktop all the time. I also have a virtual machine Win10 that I access with remote desktop from both the Acer laptop and the HP desktop. Even if I used the same account to login to this virtual machine, the remote desktop password is different!!

So I upgraded my laptop to a pro licence to be able to remote access it. So I try from my HP desktop and a HP laptop to remote desktop to my Acer laptop using either the password that work for the HP desktop or the password that work for the Virtual machine, none of them worked.

The solution : It turn out the solution was quite simple but not readily explained anywhere I searched. So I rebooted my Acer laptop, and choose to login using a password instead of the Hello method (honestly, I was just trying to verify that the password was working for this laptop). So I found out that I had the right password the try again to remote access the Acer laptop from my other PC and voil , it worked! I had rebooted so many time without success looking for all sort of policies and parameters that might have affected the remote desktop access and finally all I had to do was login once with the password so it sync the remote desktop account and the login account!

All PCs are running Windows 10 Pro, except the Acer that is running Windows 11 Pro.

Remote desktop login issues, please help

Ok, so I got remote desktop working, the only problem is, when I log off of the remote computer, the host does not log it self back in.

Ive even tried disabling my the password on the account to login and hope when I logged off that it would just resume on the host, but no such luck.

Basically what I want to be able to do is connect to my house computer at work, and be able to use the computer like I would with remote desktop, however, when I log off, I want the host to resume as the same user still.

Any way to get to that solution is great, willing to try anything! Please help!!
