Windows 10: Win 11 "Remove this display from desktop"

Why microsoft was clever enough to grey out the option when there is only one display but won't activate this display if it was disabled in a group of displays and now is the only display?- extend laptop's built in display to external display.- remove laptop display from desktop.- disconnect the external display.- you're affectively don't have any display.Which Reg key is responsible for disabling a display? So I can script it and add a shortcut or something.PS: please avoid useless help as "connect temporarily a second display" as it is stupid workflow. They only workflow is: 1. plug external

Restore display from "remove this display"

I had right clicked on the desktop and selected Display settings. My TV was list as a monitor there. I selected the monitor and clicked
Remove this display.

The above steps has not resolved my issue.

 

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

In answer to your questions:

• No error messages appear. In fact, even while the desktop display is still loading (black screen), I have software that occasionally does a pop-up early in my session. I can interact with these pop-ups, including getting to and navigating the internet,
  with no issues, and no effect on the desktop once it appears.
• I’ve done 10 of the 11 steps in the article. I’ve not re-set my PC – that seems to be a drastic step. I do have an emergency boot thumb drive that I made a couple of months ago when I purchased the computer. I could also download Win 10 for re-installation.
  I’m hoping to avoid this, but we’ll see.
• When I rebooted in Safe Mode, I got an interesting error immediately, something about Tips not being able to run in Administrator mode. I searched for what it might be pertaining to, and never found it.
