Windows 10: Win 11 taskbar duplicates Adobe PDF icons after they're moved from another monitor

I have two external monitors and have set Win11's taskbar on each monitor to only show the open files on that screen and to not combine/stack/group them. The not group worked for everythign except Adobe PFS, so I found by unchecking a box in Adobe preferences called "Open documents as new tabs in the same window " the PDFs would no show separately the other option it to let Adobe group them, then drage then into separate windows. However, when I move an open PDF from one monitor to another now, Windows taskbar shows two icons side by side for that file. If I then move the file back to the or

Windows 10 problem with duplicated icons in taskbar, broken Jump Lists

I‘ve been recently having a problem with duplicated items in taskbar and broken Jump Lists. I‘m now using Windows 10 but this problem occurred in Windows 8.1 too but then it somehow fixed itself. Some programs that I pin to taskbar have a tendency to duplicate themselves when clicked on. For now, I‘ve noticed this behaviour only in Skype and Spotify but it‘s still very annoying since duplicate icons take valuable taskbar space and even more—make Jump Lists of those programs broken, meaning that you can still see tasks program developers provided but after you click them nothing happens.


I‘ve tried loads of times pinning, repinning, deleting whole User Pinned folder from %appdata%/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Quick Launch, clearing Jump List folders manually and automatically with Command Prompt commands as suggested here with no luck. The only thing I did achieve was when I pinned Skype to taskbar in my other user account, then copied the newly created shortcut from Use Pinned folder to my User Pinned folder—this made Skype Jump Lists working but duplicate icon in taskbar remained.


I‘ve recently found a tutorial which may force taskbar to use only one icon per app but I can‘t check this right now as 7+ Taskbar Tweaker isn‘t yet officially available for Windows 10 users.

P. S. I don‘t know if this is related but I can‘t pin any Control Panel item to Quick Access whilst I can pin folders. Interesting side of this is that pinned Control Panel items appear in File Explorer's Jump List but after clicked I get a message that item is unavailable and that it might have been moved, renamed or removed.

 

Unable to print a Microsoft Edge webpage to PDF using adobe acrobat

Answer the following questions:

• Is the Adobe reader installed properly?
• Are you able to print the downloaded pdf files?

If you know Adobe Reader is installed and you are unable to open a pdf file to print, follow the steps below.

1. Right click on a pdf file

2. You should see a dialog with a bunch of options

3. Move the mouse pointer down to "Open With" and click on it

4. There will be an option like "always open with," check that box

5. Move the mouse pointer down to the Adobe Reader icon and click it

If this doesn't helps, I request you to uninstall and re-install Adobe reader.

Adobe Icon

The icon now showing on all my PDF's is now a white rectangle outlined in red with the Adobe symbol in red in the middle and the letters PDF below.

I have tried changing the icon via the shortcut under Adobe properties. The icon to select looks like what I want...box outlined in red, black background, and the adobe symbol in white, without the "PDF" below it.

How can I get the icon to be what I want it to be, what shows in the list. By the way, it is the only icon which shows in the list, coming from the file
