    Win 11 - Taskbar height difference in dual monitor setup


    I have a dual monitor setup on a single 49" 32:9 Dell, which is basically 2 x 1440p side by side in one panel with two separate hdmi cables connected, and the task bar suddenly changes height once in a while randomly. Last time this happened it took me hours of Googleing and finally I went to task bar and stopped Windows File Explorer and it got fixed. But then after reboot about 25% of the bottom of the taskbar icones were below the screen.Scaling on both monitors is 100% I tried changing but doesn't fix itResolution on both monitors is native 2560x1440 I tried changing but doesn't fix

    Is there a way with Dual Monitors to place taskbar in different locations on each in Windows 11?

    like in this question i'd like to know but this question is only for win 10 because i do not know how do i unlock taskbar in win 11
    i'd rather a quick help please

    Hello,

    Please share this information to assist you better.

    • How have you setup dual monitors?
    • Are you referring to use 2 different mouse/keyboard with the dual monitor setup?
    If yes, the mouse or keyboard may function same as one another. Since, it has to be connected to single PC/tower.

    However, setting up 2 different mouse/keyboard with the Dual- monitor setup, it may not function separately for each monitor.

    Let us know the status of the issue. We will assist you further.

    Can't set different wallpaper on a dual monitor setup.

    Okay I had the same problem so can you report the bug for me since my PC doesn't let me but basically with windows 11 you can change the wallpaper for each desktop but for some reason you can't change the the monitor wallpaper unless you get rid of all the desktops then you have the option to change per monitor.

    Steps to fix

    1. Windows button + TAB
    2. get rid of all the desktops at the bottom of the screen but 1
    3. go to your background setting, right click on a picture and wala it now says monitor instead of Desktop
    Please report it for me and replay to me if it works.
