Windows 10: Win 11 to Win 11 pro after a complete wipe out of disk

Hi, I had purchased, last year, on the Microsoft Store, the upgrade from Win 11 to Win 11 pro. Yesterday, I proceeded with a full erase Dell swipe of the disk. Then, based on the Win 11 iso available on-line, I re-installed Win 11. Now, how can I do to do again the Win 11 to Win 11 pro move ? Could Microsoft send a product key for that ? Thanks ! GF.

Win 10 Pro upgrade and ended up with a Win 11 Home instead??!

I've got a Dell XPS 13 8th gen i5 which was running Win 10 Pro fully activated and wanted to install Win 11. I decided to start afresh and to do so by downloading Win 11 from here using the second option to a USB stick. I then booted from the USB and installed Win 11 wiping out the previous Win 10 installation completely. The problem is I've now ended up with Win 11 Home instead of Win 11 Pro. Not sure why this has happened. Would have assumed whatever hash MS uses to identify computers that it would have picked up this computer previously had Win10 Pro and therefore installed Win 11 Pro by default. Could someone point me in the right direction as to how I go about getting a Win 11 Pro install on my laptop please?

 

Clean install of win 11 pro

I have a laptop running with a digital licence for Win10 Pro. The laptop originally came with Win 10 home but I upgraded to win 10 pro using a key from a win 7 ultimate dvd.

Windows update tells me I can update to win 11 pro from my present install and acquire a digital licence from MS.

My potential issue after doing so would be, if I wanted to do a clean Win 11 Pro install after getting the digital licence (for win11 pro) I suspect the install would read the bios key and install Win 11 home and not Pro. Apparently Win 7 keys are no longer valid for the Win 10 and 11 upgrades.

My question then becomes what steps do I follow to do a clean Win11 Pro install on this laptop bearing in mind the system came with Win10 Home.
