Windows 10: Win 11 update to insider dev branch failed

Hi all,I was trying to update my windows from the beta branch to the dev branch, but there was some error with the update and the installer did a rollback. I'm unsure on why the update failed. Windows 11 Insider Preview Dev Build 22449 (RS_PRERELEASE) - Sept. 2

Hello Windows Insiders, today we are releasing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22449 to the Dev Channel.

You may notice that this build number is higher than the Windows 11 preview builds youve been receiving. Thats because were moving the Dev Channel back to receiving builds from our active development branch (RS_PRERELEASE). This means the builds released to the Dev Channel no longer match the Windows 11 experience that will be released to customers on October 5th.

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
