On another PC, I was running Win 11 with One Drive and Office 2003 with no issue.On PC with issue, I WAS running Win 10, One Drive with Doc&DeskTop Synced and Office 2003 with no issues.After update of Win 10 PC to Win 11, ....Tested both Word 2003 and Excell 2003. Both Office 2003 applications have same issue.If I open a file from a window on either D drive or One Drive, File opens fine, but..."Save As" brings up a mostly blank window that never populates.If I hit any button on window Word/Excell stops working.To Fix, for Win 11, Un-Sync Just OneDrive "DeskTop"Then, both Excel 2003

What they said.

If you can't open your documents at school do one of two things:

1.) Make sure to save them as Office 97-2003 documents when saving.
2.) Complain to your school and get them to install the compatibility pack that allows Office 2003 to open 2007 documents.

Got this msg when starting to update W10. I got this v of Office 2003 as zip from a site (old, obsolete software) I came across & installed it. Don't want to get into trouble. I'd buy it if I could as it's very easy to use.

I may have found an alternative, called SoftMaker Office. I'll remove it & try SoftMaker Office. Anyone have any suggestions or experience with SoftMaker Office or any other Office clone with no ribbons that will not wreck Bookmarks I have in 2 important multi page docs. And allow me to create more very similar bookmarks. I need to be able pick from a list of functions I use 20% of of the time, then place a button on a menu bar. I'm not a typist.

If your Office 2003 apps do not appear in the list, then you can use Option Two, step 3 from that tutorial and browse this PC to find them.

Choose Default Apps in Windows 10 - Option Two
