Windows 10: [Win 7 bug] All icons everywhere disappeared , start button not working

Hello, i have an issue on my Windows 7All icons everywhere just disappeared folders, files, executable.... I have tried all online solution that i could find deleting thumbs.db, use win cd and do a recover startup, and a few others yet none worked.Also the start button doesn't work not doing anything.All icons look like they should be if opened in a popup for selection like regedit's import/export, upon choosing file to import or where to export.I have tried manually changing the icon of a folder via customize tab, yet it crashes explorer.exeVideo demonstration of the issue:https://you

Two bugs in GPU-Z - icon and version number

I ran into the very same issue with the latest GPU-Z version at Win 10 x64 - I rename the desktop shortcut and after some time I see blank icon for it, and reinstall-rename solution also won't survive restart. The solution I came up with was to extract the icon from GPU-Z and use it instead. This is yet to disappear after multiple restarts.

 

Start Button & Edge Not Working


I upgraded to Windows 10 in early August and all has been well until this week when I find that when I left click on the start button nothing happens (right click is fine), and Microsoft Edge seems to have disappeared from my PC (although the icon remains on the Quick Start Bar (but does nothing). This means that I cannot access my list of programs and apps etc.

This all seems to have happened after the last Windows Update. I have tried a system restore from some of the previous restore points, but to no avail.

I have a laptop as well and Windows 10 is running fine on that.

Any suggestions?

Start Button displaying but not working


The start button was working until there was a forced reboot (power failure). Then left click (normal click) over the start button does absolutely nothing. Right click brings up a menu but "programs" and also "settings" are missing and not included on this list. Search or Task View buttons do not work either with "normal" click. Does anyone have any suggestion or fixes?
