Windows 10: Win can't reactivate my license after hardware change

MS detected a hardware change and wants me to reactivate windows, but never told me what my digital license key was after they gave me a free upgrade from Win7 OEM years ago. Looks like I'll have to now buy this previously-free product. Plus, MS is not available for support because their 'call me back' support chatbot doesn't validate correctly for phone numbers in my country. It wants XXX XXX XXX, whereas my number format is XXX XXX XXXX

Digital license won't reactivate on new hardware (motherboard, cpu ram)

Hello,

I have a digital license of Windows 10 that is linked to my Windows account. I've just replaced my motherboard, cpu and ram and whenever I attempt to reactivate my license the activation troubleshoot says "Unable to activate Windows, We can't reactivate Windows
on this device, Try again later.

Prior to changing my hardware I double checked my digital license, The activation said "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account"

If I run 'winver' It also lists the produced is licensed to my Microsoft account.

According to this article below, All I should have to do is goto the activation troubleshooter and everything should work.

Reactivating Windows (digital license) after major hardware change

Will I be able to reactivate Windows 10 (that I got through upgrading Win 8) if I change most of my laptop hardware - motherboard, CPU, etc (I had liquid damage). Essentially I'd change out most of my hardware through
a used donor laptop of same model.

I had connected my digital Windows license to my Microsoft account, but I can't obtain the product key since it was upgraded from Win 8.
