    win crashes every time , after about 30 mins when in sleep mode


    The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f 0x0000000000000006, 0xffffdc82d317ea60, 0x0000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000. A dump was saved in: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 6f0f17f2-3d55-4c80-b80e-99d5feba6775.

    laptop goes to sleep mode too soon even though it is set to 30 min. It happens often to go to sleep within a minute. It's annoying.

    Win 10 Backups & Sleep Mode

    Hi Ruth,

    I should clarify the reason the backup was cancelled.

    The actual message was... "Backup was cancelled by User", and I am quite sure that it was because the PC entered Sleep Mode.

    The Win 10 backup is being stored on an external 2Tb USB drive.

    So to put my questions again...

    • If I schedule a weekly backup, and the PC is in Sleep mode at the appointed time, will the PC wake up to allow the backup to run?
    • Can Sleep Mode be prevented whilst a Backup is running?

    No SLEEP mode available

    My drivers were all up to date when checked. I did select the 'balanced' option. I also checked that 'sleep' was set to yes under advanced settings and the time was 30 mins. Even so, it refuses to sleep. Also, 'sleep' does not appear as an option together
    with 'shut down' and 'restart'. Are there any other suggestions, please?
