Windows 10: WIN DEFENDER Problem

Good Day All

seem to be having this nagging problem with defender updates





internet is working fine with the exception of the above.
all help is greatly appreciated.
all the fix ideas seem to blame 3rd party sec apps all i have is WD and MB
with no issues prior to this.?

Defender off, no more Win updates

I have latest version of AV installed. Win Defender stops updating with a fault, all other updates are on hold.

Also Secunia PSI is affected by Win Defender, does not show window properly.

Temporarily turning off Win Defender real-time protection solves the problems.

However I prefer to remove Win Defender altogether.

 

cant see the video tutorials

on win 10 when i press the start and then on- lets start i cant see the video tutorials

another problem is that i didnot know win 10 has a windows defender so i downloaded avast virus protection

is win defender better then avast?

when i wanted to start win defender it told my to uninstall avast first

so i did it but still couldnt activate win defender eventhough the win 10 was activated properly

I have tried with the same result, it is being discussed here as well.

Same issue here. Probably a problem on Microsofts side.

A computer restart after the notice solved the issue for me.

 

re ran the update after deleting the original down load files with a restart in the middle and all seems well now (seems well) will re visit this probably on the next update.

 

been stuck at this point for ten min now?



i knew it was to good to be true

 

well what is the problem my internet connection is fine.

 

now it's a new definition but the Defender window itself says it's up to date with yesterdays file
