    I've noticed that snapshotting anything on the display won't actually capture anything even with clipboard history turned on. Pasting will just not work and it will take a couple of attempts to get it to work consistently like it should. I've also noticed this with just copying images from the browser or other programs.

    Is this a known issue? Sfc scan & DISM health checks haven't found anything on my W10 Pro install.

    Win+Shift+S not working anymore

    I updated my Windows 10 to version 2004, and since then the Win+Shift+S shorcut for the new snipping tool doesn't work anymore. I have been stuck using the old snipping tool, I would like to know if there is a way so I can fix it.

    Snipping Tool (WIN + Shift + S): Screenshot save location?

    When I took a screenshot, Windows told me I wanted to try: WIN + Shift + S

    So, I did. But, where is this screenshot other than the clipboard?

    I can paste directly into OneNote, or whatever image program, but I don't want that. I want a timestamped screenshot or the "Shortcut" is not for what I need to do.

    Is there a fourth button in the combo to actually save the screenshot? This is so weird to me. Not an improvement. Would be an improvement IF it were saved automatically. Is there really not a folder somewhere that these shots are stored automatically?

    Pasting from clipboard

    As an alternative to Dave's suggestion, you could do this:

    1. Create a desktop shortcut for snippingtool.exe.
    2. Drag it onto the Task Bar.
    3. To take a snapshot, use snippingtool instead of Win+Shift+S
    4. Save the snapshot while in Snipping Tool.
