Windows 10: Win+Shift+S Shortcut and Snipping Tool Not Working After Windows Update

Hi everyone, I'm facing a challenging issue where my Win+Shift+S screenshot shortcut and the Snipping Tool/Snip & Sketch have completely stopped working following a recent Windows update. Despite extensive troubleshooting, the problem persists, and I'm hoping someone here might have insight or solutions I haven't tried. **Problem Description:** - The Win+Shift+S shortcut ceased to function unexpectedly after a Windows update. - Neither Snipping Tool nor Snip & Sketch launches using the shortcut or even when opened manually. - Upon system restart and initial attempt to use the shortcu

Windows Snipping Tool shortcut not working

The Win + Shift + S snipping tool shortcut opens up the widget but does not save the snip or open the editor, however the snipping app itself works correctly when opened up. The registry correctly points to user pictures folder; I took these images
and description of the problem using Win + PrtScn which works just fine. Suggestions would be appreciated as I'd rather not run extra 3rd party software to do something windows is supposed to do natively. Thanks!

 

Prevent Win+Shift+R from opening Snipping Tool record

Win+Shift+R is the PowerPoint shortcut to pause/resume recording while recording your screen. Recently it started opening Snipping Tool record. This means that when recording screen with PowerPoint, instead of pausing recording it just opens Snipping Tool and your PowerPoint recording keeps on recording.

I have Googled and no one appears to have this problem. I have repaired and reset Snipping Tool. Is there any way to disable the Win+Shift+R shortcut in snipping tool?

 

Snipping Tool is not working in Windows 11

I have also updated my PC to Windows 11 two days back. And surprised to see that the handy snipping tool and shortcut (Win + Shift + S) is not working anymore.
