Windows 10: Win UI 3 Application Proxy Settings Issue

Hi Microsoft Community,I'm encountering an issue with proxy settings in our Win UI 3 application. When I manually set the proxy with just the domain e.g., test.domain.com and port number, both the browser and Win UI 3 honor the settings. However, when I include the scheme along with the domain e.g., http://test.domain.com, the browser respects the proxy settings, but Win UI 3 does not.Could someone provide assistance or guidance on resolving this matter? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!

Hi,

Issues with the proxy settings are usually caused by broken system components. For us to provide an accurate solution, we would need you to answer the following questions:

• Which build and edition of Windows is installed on your computer?
• What changes have you made to the registry? Kindly provide us a screenshot of the changes that you made.
  
• To avoid redundancy, what are the troubleshooting steps that you've already performed?
  

In the meantime, we suggest that you create a test user profile. Check if you will have the same issue with proxy settings. This is for us to verify if the issue is isolated with one user profile or with multiple accounts.

To create a test user profile, follow these steps:

• Using Cortana search, type Settings and then hit the Enter key.
• In the Settings window, select Accounts.
• Select Family & other people.
• Choose Add someone else to this PC.
• Click I don't have this person's sign-in information.
• Click Add a user without a Microsoft account.
• Name the user as TEST and then provide a password.

UI issues on many applications

If I do use lessor resolution than the option of Full HD is useless. Well I will give a try!

Which is the correct setting for Manual proxy setup?

Great to hear that you were able to resolve the issue when using Microsoft Edge. That is correct, by default the proxy settings are disabled unless you need it for a VPN or a specific application. As long as it does not affect the normal usage of your computer
then it is ok to leave the setting as is. If you want to disable the proxy settings and stop it from automatically turning on, we suggest you follow the below steps to disable Proxy on Windows 10:

• Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app and then navigate to option
  Network & Internet then select Proxy.
• Toggle the option Automatically detect settings to
  ON.
• Toggle the option Use a proxy server to OFF.

If the issue persists, kindly follow the steps on this
link to reset the Internet Explorer settings and then try to disable the Proxy in Internet Explorer.
