Windows 10: Win10 2004 not beeing offered

I am still running 1909 on a dektop PC. In the past the feature updates have been offered via "looking for updates" shortly after release. Still waiting for the option to update to 2004.

Normal behavior?

Microsoft Money 2004 not working with Win10

Dear Sir: Please and thanks for your attention. As others are working with this and some finding "change the version number by removing the final digit so that there was only 15 digits (9.11.10240.16638 instead of 9.11.10240.166384) in the same registry
key" helpful, I do not see Microsoft Support Engineer sorting this except to offer this was a known fault October 2014.

Your encouragement is appreciated but Microsoft must understand, I have ten years of accounting locked, I am a novice (not competent to 'Regedit' ect with confidence) as suggested, and WIN10 didn't warn of this.

Still, your courtesy much appreciated. Please, please, please Microsoft Support Engineer, how does an idiot (me) who loves Windows get his ten years of accounting back even if to just migrate to another accounting program.

Please again, everyone has been very helpful, Woodmere6 thanks, but even if MS Money 2004 is kaput please, my ten years of accounting are still locked. Windows 10 has been easy to install and a bit new but this issue is specific and very important. Please
help. Just let me get my data off MS Money 2004 which was up to date yesterday, 08/05/15 morning of WIN10 install.

Sorry to babble, this was completely unexpected and I am still in hopes but MS needs to help. After that I can have a file of some type useable to another basic accounting program. Thanks again GarySteede and I know Microsoft takes this seriously. Best to
all, but you can imagine, all my accounts were in MS Money 2004, every transaction for ten years. Sorry again.

 

Microsoft Money 2004 not working with Win10

Money 2004 Stopped Working---(The day before the following happened.):

• 
  Vegas Video, A DVD Program failed to start.
  It informed me that the .Net framework that to be turned on.
  
• 
  I entered the Control Panel
  
• 
  'Clicked' on Turn Windows Features On/Off
  
• 
  'Clicked' and 'check' the box to turn on .NET Framework 3.5 (includes.net 2.0 and 3.0)
  
• 
  This process took a long time to download and install.
  
• 
  After turning the computer off and restarting Vegas Video and my HP scanning software worked great, but Money 2004 did not work.
  
• 
  The following day 'new' updates were downloaded and installed.
  After that Money 2004 has worked great.
  
• 
  Some of the updates could have addressed the change in the .NET Framework 3.5 and/or others could have address the problem I had with Money 2004.
  
• 
  Money 2004, Vegas Video and my HP Software all work great.

Windows 10 2004 not being offered

Despite how it may appear I'm quite patient and in no rush to update. I've only been running W10 for nearly 6 months having been on Win7 prior to that, so it's taken a while to get here *Wink

However, it just seemed odd to me that when connected to one network I get offered to update only to told to wait once I'm back at home. No biggie - just a curiosity on my part.
