Windows 10: Win10: Audio notifications for Messenger.com....it used to work then stopped. Probably...

So did anyone get this working?I looked at Settings, System, Notifications and Actions, but Messenger isn't even there. I've tried both Google Chrome and Firefox, both also in Incognito. Checked site settings and Notifications are enabled. Everything else about Messenger is working great. It used to have a mid level "ding". Like a large bell. Not so high a pitch. I also looked in Control Panel, Sounds, Sounds, Program Events but didn't see Messenger there. I have turned off almost all sounds though and wondered if Messenger may be using one of the sounds I've turned off. I'm going to

went from unceasing notifications to NONE on fb messenger-win10 app

facebook messenger notification sound repeatedly playing ok, so during the course of fixing that, I got it into my head to uninstall fb messenger win-10 app. now after reinstalling..I cant get it to squawk ANY notification bar a call notification. ...how do I fix this?

As you don't have an app for that, it - well- won't have an option listed in Settings for apps... There is a Facebook Messenger app I found.,. and you mention Facebook messenger, but as for Facebook- I don't use that, so I can only suggest you research that.
