    win10 black screen and cursor but no password on acc still not loading


    I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 8 and not 8.1 with black screen and cursor I had no password so it should automatically load into account but it did not plus I tried ctrl key and enter plus all other key combinations but nothing and waited for half an hour. Please help all suggestions are welcomed!

    P.S. I can see the cursor and the loading windows logo so no imbecile answers like graphic card driver or monitor driver for god sake

    Help! My Windows 10 Computer won't boot at all!

    Yes, I waited long enough. Minutes would go by and still nothing but a black screen, as for the recovery disk loading, like I said, it would take a long time (5-10 minutes) and then a black screen with the cursor appears.

    Original Title: Issue with black screen with cursor after win7 upgraded to win10

    Post upgrade from win7 to win10 it worked fine for few days but recently I am facing a problem with black screen appearing after entering the password, only cursor is visible. I did below steps suggested on Internet

    1. hit ctrl+Alt+del

    2. start a new task from task manager

    3. Hit explorer.exe

    However this fails saying a feature for windows 10 need to be installed call NTVDM. It tries to install and fails with error . Can somebody suggest me a solution to this?
