Windows 10: Win10 boots up, after login desktop appears but icons only, no text.

I found a workaround, From my no text desktop I open PowerShell and logoff console. When I login again, desktop is back to normal with text.Question is how to I fix this so that there is desktop text from restart?

Increase Win7 Max Desktop Icon Text Line Char Amount

Yep, you need to make the icon area larger or the text smaller.

Icons smaller:

You can do the text and icons, both, in the "Windows color and Appearance" > "Advanced Appearance Settings" :

Must Kill XP Login Icon

That's the funny thing, I don't have it passworded. But everytime it boots, it stops at the blue login screen and it will sit there until I click the icon, which takes me right to my desktop, no password required.

I know how to change the icon, but can't make the thing go away! *Mad

Unfortunately, you will not be able to resize only the Desktop items. However, you may customize the display to make the icons bigger or change the text size.
