    Win10 BSOD Kernel Security Check Failure caused by ntoskrnl.exe


    Hi everyone,
    I have just reinstalled Windows 10 yesterday. BSOD with Kernel Security Check Failure showed up when I open the video editing software, game works great instead. It never crashed before I reinstalled the OS. I have reinstalled graphic driver 3-4 times still not working.

    Another BSOD.. I just turned on the computer went into Intel control panel to disable adaptive brightness and suddenly everything turned off and BSOD appeared, but somehow there's no reason visible in BlueScreenView, it was something with

    Daily BSOD Kernel Security Check Failure - ntoskrnl.exe

    Both this non verified dmp and the previous one mentioned fastfat.sys but was inconclusive. (Related to Fast FAT File System Driver from Microsoft Corporation) and I am wondering what kicks it off. Do you have a fat partition, or a SD card that is fat?

    If you interrupt the normal boot 2x (as I said previously) on the third attempt it will let you get to safe mode.

    Exact same issue. Games work great. When I try and use Cyberlink PowerDirector 13 I get BSOD. Not sure how to pull the files to show what occurred, but if someone would give me instructions I could do that easily. Thanks - RL

    Did the laptop came pre-installed with Enterprise?
    @How to upload files and create a new thread.
    The solution(s) suggested in this thread will be for the OP specifically, because the drivers and software could be different per user what means that the cause is most likely different too.

    I use Windows 8.1 but I had similar problems. I see everyone here noticed their problems at (more or less) the same time, and so was I. Then I realized I had updated nvidia drivers a few days earlier and after my blue screen started to appear when working with PowerDirector.
    Today I downgraded nvidia drivers as described here Driver Rollback | NVIDIA. And my problems ended.
