Windows 10: win10 bsod. text unreadable

I've read a lot about blue screens but no one ever posted saying they couldn't read it.Sometimes the text is legible other times it appears to be a different language, it could be just gibberish. . But either way it always reboots. I've tried to disable the reboot feature but it's still reboots even after I deselect reboot from control panel. Half the time it'll go to blue screen before it reboots and the other half at a time it'll just reboot without any blue screen. But no matter what I do I can't keep it from rebooting.


I don't know why I can't keep the reboot from occurring with the selection in the control panel which should keep the automatic reboot from occurring.


Any advice welcome...

PDF text is rectangular & unreadable

Our Senior Center provides us with monthly pdf newsletters.
--- At their office those newsletters are readable.

They have a third-party company that sends them out via an email distribution list.
--- Until June 2018 they were readable.
--- However, starting in July 2018 something changed, the text is no longer readable as characters are in rectangular form.
--- The graphics for events & ads were still fine.




That's 4 months in a row now: I'd like to investigate possible causes.
--- Advice please
--- On those rectangular boxes, is there a technical name for them?

Don't know exact name for it but it's caused by unknown font with unrecognized or incompatible characters. Which PDF reader is that ? Some have own fonts (Adobe Reader for instance) and some, specially if you view it in a browser, use system fonts.

 

Continually notification when there is an unread text message.

Thank you for posting to the forum regarding the question you have about notifications. I am unaware of any setting that allows you to set a notification to continue to alert you that there are unread text messages.

There are a couple of things that you might consider trying to make these alerts more noticeable.

• First, please be sure that you have your Ringer + notification sounds set to a volume that is audible for you. There are two different volumes you can adjust and these are found by pressing the volume button and then tapping the down arrow in the drop
  down from the top of the screen.
• Next, please look to see if a different sound option helps you with hearing the notification for incoming text messages. If you go to settings > notifications + sounds > tap messaging you will find the option to adjust the sound being used. I personally
  find some sounds to work better then others.
• Finally, make sure you have messaging set to go to your notification center. This would keep a list of incoming messages listed here until you open and access the notifications. This should at least give you a quick way to check for messages that have
  been received by the phone but have not been checked.
