    Hi Microsoft,I opened my laptop just now, and the text appearing on the lock screen "nature photo" image did not match the image, and was the text from the previous day's nature photo, while the photo itself had changed. This looks like a bug in Windows.Attached is a photo I took with my phone. Please zoom in and note the content of the text vs. the actual image. Btw I opened the laptop from sleep mode -- it was not powered off before this happened.Hope this helps,Jordan

    No, you did nothing wrong. All you did was browse and choose an image to use. The five images shown in settings are the most recent five you have chosen, the newest on the left. The default set of images....

    ...were pre-loaded when Windows was installed to give you a starting point. You are free to browse and choose any image you want, each new one will be added at the left, pushing the previous ones one space to the right. If you really want to go back to the original set, browse to C:\Windows\Web\Screen and select each image in turn (in reverse order, starting with img104.jpg) until you have recreated the original list.

    Is there a way to remove the duplicate Win10 Lock Screen image as shown here in my image?
    Guess I did something wrong...

    How can I remove it from the Settings\Personalization\Lock Screen

    Lock screen background image does not appear (Anniversary Update)


    I've got the same (bug) the OP's got.
    This is for manual Lock only, has nuthin to do with a Restart or cold boot.

    If I have this setting On:

    then this is my Lock/Splash screen and sign-in screen:
    (by default you would see a solid black screen with date, I've manipulated the Splash screen with an image!)
