Windows 10: Win10 Evaluation copy reboots every hour on the hour (VMWare/VirtualBox)

As the name of the header implies, I run a burner Windows 10 environment in VirtualBox for when I want to test a program before running it on my actual system just to be safe (you never know as with some programs they come from less than reputable sources and you never know what's hiding). However this is something that is difficult to do when your system shuts down every hour on the hour. Allow me to explain. When I set up my VM, I do an initial "clean install" snapshot to fall back on if needed and then subsequent snapshots taken when programs are added before executed. The current VM I'm working with has had its evaluation status expired for several months now (because internal timer) and it just shuts down when 1 hour passes. I have reverted to a snapshot that's relatively clean, that being only Chrome was just installed, and it acts the same way. This isn't the first time this has happened to me either. I'm currently using VirtualBox but a year or so ago I was using VMWare and it acted the same way, once the evaluation period passed it just started shutting down on me every hour. Does anyone have an idea why this is happening? While I would prefer not redoing an entire VM if needed every time the evaluation period passes, it's more of an annoyance more than anything else, especially if the testing session extends past an hour and I have to hope that whatever I worked on saved before the shutdown.

VirtualBox or VMware

Hello

I am using Windows 10 Home and Hyper-V isn't available on this version of OS.

Hence I wanted to use Virtualbox or VMware to run virtual machine and as far as I know Hyper-V isn't even required, I own a HP laptop and cannot find Advanced tab in my BIOS setting to enable or disable Virtualization for 64-bit in Virtualbox.

Can I ever run VirtualBox or setup Virtual Machine via these software?

How to get Advance Tab under BIOS for HP laptop ?

But there is so much more you can do in VMware and you can activate yiur copy by using a key off youtube videos or google.

 

Vmware and VirtualBox not working after the recent update .

i have been using vmware and virtualbox for quiet a while . but after the recent update both of them stopped working . i am using windos 10 home and dont have hyper-V ON. i have been to vmware's suggested page but the support is for only windows enterprise
