Windows 10: WIN10 Fail to update despite dozens of attempts

Discus and support WIN10 Fail to update despite dozens of attempts in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I have run WUdiag. I run DISM but it gives errors: drvstore, lookup image path, PE Provider, 0x8007007e, etc. I have removed the old update files...     WIN10 Fail to update despite dozens of attempts


    I have run WUdiag.

    I run DISM but it gives errors: drvstore, lookup image path, PE Provider, 0x8007007e, etc.

    I have removed the old update files between attempts.

    I have been thru the services - stop and start sequences.

    It will not allow a clean install.

    it will not allow a reset.

    sfc/scannow will not run.

    I have the dism log available.

    Win10 updates

    The initial one was KB3035583 to get the Get Windows 10 app (GWX). Though that particular update is probably pages upon dozens of pages down the list by now.

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
