Windows 10: Win10 KB5014023 Update Failure, 0x800703f1

Problem: WIn10 KB5014023 Update Failure, with error 0x800703f1 other than this and the errors below, the system seems normal Device: Desktop with i3 2120T, 16GB DDR3, 1TB WD HDD with 50 GB free spaceOS: Win10 Pro 64 bit, Build 19044.1706Fixes tried:1. Windows Update Troubleshooter: completed successful, but the problem persists2. SFC /scannow: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.3. DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth: error 1009, the configuration registration database is corrupted,4, System Restore: all 4 restore points failed5. Safe reboot: problem

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

win10 upgrade failed error code 0x800703f1

Win10 says I need to update but when I try it fails with error code 0x800703f1

Drivers won't update, errors 0x800703f1 and 0x80070002

I have about 20 drivers that need updating. Windows version 18363. The updates download but fail to install. All report error 0x80070002 or 0x800703f1.

I've tried:

• Clearing the download files and restarting the update service.
• Running the troubleshooter
• sfc /scannow
• dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, which seemed to hang after the scan.
• perfmon /report, which shows that one service is crashing
• Using the Device Manager to install individual drivers
• Various other remedies proposed; I googled the error codes and followed up...

Suggestions?
