Windows 10: Win10 - Keyboard with different layout not picked up

Hi,

This must be a stupid question but for whatever reason I can't figure it out.

When I installed windows 10 ages ago I used a normal US/international keyboard. Now I changed to a keyboard with a Japanese layout but I can't get windows 10 to work with the new layout.

I already changed my keyboard to Japanese under the language settings but all the keys are still the same as on my old keyboard.

I double checked with the settings of my Japanese laptop and the settings appear to be the same. I have no clue why this isn't working.

Croatian keyboard layout is missing in Win10 installation

Welcome to Microsoft Community. Your interest in Windows 10 is much appreciated.

This issue might have occurred due to incorrect settings. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Type settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Click on time and language
  
• 
  Click region and language
  
• 
  Click on add a language and select the language “Croatian”
  
• 
  Now under languages you can find your language
  
• 
  Click on that and select options
  
• 
  Under keyboard layout you can find your Croatian keyboard added.
