  1. Win10 laptop can't find bluetooth devices, but broadcasts name

I've had quite a few problems with this laptop to be honest. But last month or so, I had to re-install windows. Since then, my bluetooth isn't working correctly.

    The issue:

Windows does not show any devices under Bluetooth ^1.

My laptop does broadcast though, I can connect to my laptop's bluetooth via my mobiles bluetooth settings too. It just doesn't show any bluetooth devices on the laptop. Phone bluetooth screenshot ^2. (laptop broadcasts as AMX1-RBLADE

    Information (specs, things tried):

    Laptop: Razer blade stealth 13” (2017); i7-8550U ^3

Windows 10 Professional: build version info ^4

Bluetooth uses Qualcomm Atheros drivers, I downloaded this driver from the Razer support page for my laptop.

    I've tried:

    -Reinstalling drivers

-Disabling power management on bluetooth (+usb devices)

    -Ran the troubleshooter ^5

-Checked bluetooth service (though for it to be broadcasting, it must be working, no?)

And a few other things you'll find one a quick google search when having problems.

My laptop has update KB4530684 available, but previous updates have not helped.

  3. Bluetooth device migration.

    Hi FredOlson1,

Sounds like a Bluetooth driver conflict to me. Did you make any changes on your laptop prior to the issue? What is the build and version of your Windows 10? In the meantime, kindly follow the steps below:

Step 1: Lets remove the Megacra sound bar from your Bluetooth device list.

    1. Select Start > Settings > Devices >
      Bluetooth & other devices.
    2. Select the paired Bluetooth device that you want to remove > Remove device >
      Yes.

      Restart your laptop.

Step 2: Download and install the latest Bluetooth driver directly from Dell support website.

Step 3: Pair again your Bluetooth device to your laptop. Kindly check for the device manual for the instructions.

You may also want to check this article for the list of troubleshooting steps to fix Bluetooth connection issues.
