Windows 10: Win10 LTSC and LTSC to upgrade to Win 10 Education?

Dear friend,


We have VLSC lisences for all Win 10 editions. Currently our existing computers are running Win 10 LTSC. Is it possible to "upgrade" them to Win 10 Education edition, without having to install the new OS and removing all the exiting data?

LTSB > LTSC

Hi there Boban, heres a short explanation from Microsoft:

Windows 10 LTSC/LTSB: Due to naming changes, product versions that display Windows 10 LTSB will be replaced with Windows 10 LTSC in subsequent feature updates. The term LTSC is used here to refer to all long term servicing versions.

It looks like itll automatically upgrade for you over the course of updates.

LTSB is old name, LTSC - new. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is not standalone license, it is upgrade from Windows 10 Pro so this license should be present too.

Enterprise edition is available in corporate channel only and sells starts from at least 5 licenses.

So Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is a) much more expensive than Pro and b) is nor available for home user.

What is the difference between Windows 10 Enterprises LSTB and LTSC.

Currently i am using Windows 10 pro . Is that possible to upgrade from Windows 10 pro to Windows Enterprises LTSC .

IS there any procedure to do or need to buy new license.
