Windows 10: Win10 MP3 player (program) with drag and drop playlists?

Dear Everyone. Why, in Groove, you can't just open a playlist and drag'n'drop MP3s into it I've no idea but apparently you've got to put the MP3s for a playlist into a new folder, name the folder, then add the folder to Groove. Which means you're doing all the work for the app! Is there any player out there that lets you just choose a blank playlist and drag'n'drop MP3s into it, so as long as you don't move them from their physical location they stay in the playlist? So you can either choose the playlist and play the whole list, or click on the track/tracks you want to play in the list, but still know where they are on the actual hard drive? Right now I've got at least 2 copies of every track, one in a Groove playlist and one in the original location, and it's getting a bit silly! Especially as you need a TON of folders for Groove as each one's a playlist.... I'm on Windows 10 64bit. Yours hopefully Chris.

Seeking an mp3 player that will accept Windows Media Player playlists.

My Philips Go Gear Vibe and my new Sony Walkman will not accept Windows Media Player playlists.

I preformed the usual procedures: connect the device, drop and drag to sync list, start sync, wait for it to finish, disconnect device when prompted. When I look for my playlists, they aren't there.

On the Go Gear Vibe, I was updating existing playlists. It simply deleted those playlists. It added new songs, but removed the playlists.

The Sony Walkman won't accept .wpl playlists at all. They had me download Sony Music Center, but it will not recognize .wpl playlists for import.

My Philips Go Gear Vibe still has some playlists on it, I just can't add any new or updated ones. I'm weary of doing anything with it at this time.

What mp3 players are most capable of receiving Windows Media Player playlists from Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 10?

Thanks for the feedback. When I copy the music, the playlist name doesn't get copied. The music shows on the MP3 player as a list of songs and not grouped under a playlist name. I'm missing s step here & can't figure it out.

Hi jackbrennanSP, Thanks for the update. When you open Media Player, there is a link in the left pane called 'Playlists' Click on it Browse to where the audio files are on your drive. You can open a window then browse to them. Select the audio files then
drag and drop into 'Drag items here' area on the right side of the Media Player window. Give the playlist a name Click Save list Click the Sync tab Click link 'Sync playlists name' You can drag additional playlists to the pane then click Start sync. Hope that
