Windows 10: Win10 nightlight still not working

Discus and support Win10 nightlight still not working in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; so it seems for the past 3 windows updates, including this most recent one, 21H1, my nightlight function is still greyed out, and i have no clue why....     Win10 nightlight still not working


    so it seems for the past 3 windows updates, including this most recent one, 21H1, my nightlight function is still greyed out, and i have no clue why. :/ hell, even the registries for "$$windows.data.bluelightreduction.bluelightreductionstate" and" $$windows.data.bluelightreduction.settings" do not exist, almost as if the updates themselves made them just vanish. so i would greatly appreciate it if you would fix your stuff microsoft, propperly, on your next attempt at an update. because i really miss being able to use the nightlight mode.

    I deleted the two registry entries suggested here, but the nightlight setting is still grayed out, nightlight

    If I create a new account this setting works fine . I could delete the malfunctioning account but short of copying the registry from one account to another, I don't know how to move the files and few setting and make a few programs available in the new.
    If I copy and move the registry then the defect follows.

    Any suggestions please.

    Thank you for the answer. I am rather weary of replacing the OS to correct the nightlight problem. I can just start using another account, a less drastic solution. The SSD is not easily swapped so I would have to erase the current drive or install
    over, a sometimes problematic step. Thanks.
