Windows 10: Win10 PC completely freezing up / BSOD. 100% Disk usage from System.

Hello, I'm having some trouble with my Win10 PC currently! My PC is an old custom build for gaming. Specs listed below. . .Usually have 16GB of Ram but I'm in the process of physically troubleshooting both sticks as well as the slots on my motherboard for all possible configsSPECS:THE ISSUES:The first issue is my PC seems to be having quite some trouble with the disk usage being slammed to 98-100%. win10 laptop, showing 100 Percent Disk Usage

I have win10 laptop, showing 100 Percent Disk Usage, cannot find standard SATA controller, nor Superfetch as suggested on the website. How can I solve the problem?

My computer freezes and my task manager shows 100% disk usage. I turned off superfetch, updated all my drivers, and screamed at my computer multiple times without results.

System freezes and shows 100% disk usage on Windows 10.

I have had this issue. Windows 10 freezes, even the cursor locks up sometimes. The disk is reported at 100% active although there is no traffic. The freeze disappears as mysteriously as it came about 20 minutes or so later.

I have tried all the fixes I could find online and nothing has worked. Today, quite by chance, I decided to move a folder of video files off drive C: onto a backup disk. This had problems in that it was getting caught up in system freezes. Eventually I was
left with one file which every time I tried to move the system froze up completely. I guess it was corrupted in some way (?).

I decided it was time to delete it but first checked File History to see if it had been backed up automatically. It was missing from the backup. And then it clicked that File History must be trying to back it up every hour or so and every time the PC was
freezing up.

I've deleted the file and changed File History to back up less frequently. So far today the PC has behaved impeccably.

It would be difficult to say the least to work out what file might be causing this under normal circumstances but I'm guessing turning off File History might lead you to finding out whether that is a cause.
