Windows 10: Win10 Photo Viewer Suggestion

Many of us create photo albums, slideshows etc. from picture folders. If these folders are extensive and one wants to select specific images for a new project, it is quite cumbersome going back and forth to get the filenames of the images from the photo album.It would be nice to have an option in Photo Viewer to at least be able to see the filename in the slideshow option thus allowing you the option of writing down the filename for selection later. It would be really nice if there was an option that allowed you to "select" the photo during the slideshow to flag the filename automatically to a

Suggest a simple photo viewer

Please suggest a simple photo viewer for the elderly.

Nothing complicated like XnView, just browsing photos, preferably by date.

The default Windows Photo viewer is great, but it circles for weeks and hardly loads anything new.

Just do not like this "new" photo viewer, it is just cumbersome to operate, lot of extra steps etc. I like the older Win photo viewer, however since JPG files are saved as "unhandled Extension handler finder", *Confused I need something else. Appreciate any suggestions that is not overly optioned, just a simple viewer. Tx

I just use the Photos app for a quick view, otherwise I use Adobe Lightroom to view and edit photos.
