Windows 10: Win10 pro Build 1809 (17763.503) : Bluetooth SPP ( virtual COM) failure after running...

I use windows 10 pro Build 1809 (17763.503) on Surface Pro 3. X64



After connecting to Bluetooth device with SSP profile , a virtual COM port is generate by windows.



I wort an app by C# that open the port and sent data to TX every 200ms) I make sure all bytes are received on the destination).

The connection is serial asynchronous.



After several minutes the connection is failed and I gets error that some windows API thread is failed ( error 259).



The Tx or RX buffer is not full.



I tried this with other PC with the same build. And I get the same failure.



This issue happens also when using desktop application ( like DockLight and other), so the Reason is not in my SW .





*** this issue happen after I upgrade to this windows build.

I have second PC with older build And this failure does not occur.

Bluetooth SPP not shown

Hi,



a while ago I bought a Nokia 3250 phone and in the manual it says that it supports SPP next to a list of other services. When I try to enable it in the Bluetooth options, though, it only displays DUN.

A friend of mine was suggesting that Windows is the problem and I should switch to Linux as I really need to get this going because this project is part of my graduation. If anyone has experience please advise me whether it could help or not

Updates fails (Build 17763)

I've not been receiving updates for a few months now. It keeps failing. I have a 1TB M2 drive Samsung magician reports it as good. Could it be related to my key?

Tried still fails

• net stop bits

2. Ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak

• net start bits
• net start wuauserv
• net start appidsvc
• net start cryptsvc

• Restarted PC

 

With Windows 10, can't open any Bluetooth virtual com ports

I try your recommendation but nothing.

the zebra says that the problem is from win10.

in windows 8.1 the printer and bluetooth virtual ports works great for any devices which works via bluetooth.

I think that Microsoft hasn't solve the problem (SPP ports) as well as think. Maybe Microsft programmers should check the code again.
