    I have never found any Microsoft software better than the competition. So I don't want my C drive cluttered with useless programs and shortcuts to those programs like in Start Menu, All Programs. I want my choices in there and nothing but my choices. You used to be able to somewhat control things in Windows. Now it's a battle. Or is this a futile desire on my part because this monopolistic company refuses to "play fair"? If only they would just focus on the operating system. Do what you do best. And is there any way of disabling or blocking content from Microsoft Store? It's like yo

    WindowsApps folder says permissions are corrupted and need to be deleted, is this normal or critical?

    According to your description, I suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Navigate to the location C:\Program Files.
    2. Right-click on the WindowsApps folder, and select Properties.
    3. Turn to Security tab and click on Advanced.
    4. Click on Change and then type Users in Enter the object name to select area.
    5. Click on OK, then click Apply > OK. You can also add the TrustedInstaller to the users list and check if it takes effect.

    However, you might be still not able to access the files. The workaround is to go inside the C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\, and repeat the same way with the Microsoft.WindowsStore* folders.

    Unnecessary apps in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps

    I see a lots of versions of the same app in C:\Program Files\WindowsApps. These are apps that I don't even have installed. Overall they are taking up about 10GB.

    1. How can I remove these apps completely?
    2. Or can I keep only the most recent version?

    The storage sense
    suggested here     or disk cleanup of system files has not helped.

    WindowsApp Folder

    It is already installed. In accordance with your suggestion, I have created a folder for it under Program Files and moved it there. Thanks. I would still be interested in understanding why I cannot get access to the WindowsApps folder, even after following all the steps I can follow online. Any insights please?
