When attempting to fill in credit card payment data using Chrome's Autofill function, supplying the validation CCV number, then produces a warning modal that reads "Insert your security key into the USB port." see attached imageI do not own a USB Security Key, nor have I ever owned one. I would like to not see this warning modal ever again.I have gone to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options and I see Security Key as an option. I selected to Remove that as an option still appears visually so I thought this would have disabled it, but apparently I am wrong. Now the only option und

Autofill addresses and payments info using Microsoft Autofill

Ever made a mistake when typing your address and your package wasn’t delivered to you? Do you always need to take out your credit card every time you’re ready to purchase something online? For everyone who’s experienced these everyday nuisances, Microsoft is excited to announce autofill support for your addresses and payment info in Microsoft Authenticator along with existing support for passwords!

Fill your addresses and payment info across your devices

Just like your passwords, Autofill now stores addresses and payment info using your Microsoft account. If you haven’t already synced your autofill data on your mobile device, open the Microsoft Authenticator app, go to the Passwords tab, and simply start syncing your data. Make sure you select Authenticator as your default autofill provider.

Once you’ve done that, you can now autofill your addresses or payment info by simply opening your favorite apps or sites and choosing from our autofill suggestions.

If you use Google Chrome, you can autofill addresses and payments info using the Microsoft Autofill Extension available on the Google Chrome web store.

Never make a mistake in typing your information

Let Autofill securely save your address or payment info for you so you don’t have to type it again or make any mistakes in getting your important packages delivered. Your addresses will sync across devices and can be filled automatically, including on your desktop devices using Microsoft Edge or the Microsoft Autofill Extension on Google Chrome.

Your data is always secure behind your thumbprint

At Microsoft, we take the safety of our customers’ data seriously. All autofill data is encrypted both on your device and the cloud when synced across devices.

As an added measure of security, customers who autofill payment info with Authenticator will need to verify their identity using bio gestures. This ensures that only the rightful owner of the device can access and autofill passwords and payment info.

More secure and convenient Autofill coming to Google Chrome on Android

Chrome can help you fill in forms securely - everywhere on the web. Whether it is your username and password to sign in to your email account, or your credit card number when you’re about to purchase your new favorite pair of sneakers. Today we’re announcing new tools to make your Autofill experience even more convenient and secure.

Confirming credit cards with biometrics

If you choose to save credit cards to your Google Account, your payment information is only transferred to Chrome when it is needed for a transaction. This is why Chrome asks you to confirm your credit card by entering its CVC before the full credit card number is autofilled into a form.

Going forward, Chrome will allow you to enroll your device to retrieve card numbers via biometric authentication, such as your fingerprint. You still need to provide your CVC the first time you use your credit card, but for future transactions, you will be able to confirm your credit card using biometric authentication ᠆ instead of requiring you to pull out your wallet and type in its CVC. Biometric authentication is optional. You can choose to confirm your card with its CVC and you can also turn this feature on and off in Chrome Settings at any time.

Chrome uses the W3C standard WebAuthn to securely enroll you for biometric authentication. Biometric information never leaves your device. The feature is already available on Windows and Mac and is coming to Chrome on Android in the coming weeks.

Touch-to-fill for passwords

Chrome’s password manager can help you save passwords for the sites you visit so that you don’t need to memorize them. It also helps you fill your passwords the next time you sign in. A big advantage of using a password manager is that it helps prevent phishing attacks, because it cannot be tricked into filling your password into look-alike websites.

Whenever you sign in, Chrome’s new touch-to-fill feature presents your saved accounts for the current website in a convenient and recognizable dialog. It allows for one-handed sign-in without requiring you to scroll to the respective form fields to choose an account.

Signing in is now easier with touch-to-fill controls.

The feature is coming to Chrome on Android in the coming weeks, but this is only the start. We’ll continue to focus on creating intuitive features that keep you safe while you sign-in and pay on the web, and look forward to sharing more in the future.

New seamless payments and password management in Google Chrome

Many people choose to save their payment information and passwords for their favorite websites to their Google Account for easy access. Until recently, it was not always easy to access them in Chrome. For example: in that moment where you (finally!) found the perfect holiday gift, and started the checkout, Chrome couldn't help you access the login credentials you had saved in Password Manager, or the payment methods you had added to your account, unless you had Chrome sync turned on for that device.

This changed last year, when we made it easier to access the payment methods in your Google Account. Since then, we've been working hard to bring the same signed-in experience to more features and users -- making it simpler and more intuitive to access your Google Account info in Chrome. We're happy to announce that over the coming weeks and months, seamless payments and password management will become available to all signed-in users, syncing or not.

More convenient sign in on Android

To help you get the most out of your Google Account, Chrome on Android will soon let you sign in with a single tap, even when not using sync. When you sign in to a Google service like Gmail, you can now choose to sign in to Chrome with one of your Google Accounts on the device – with a single tap and without having to re-enter your credentials. If you prefer to sign in without adding your account to the device, you can simply dismiss the dialog. And if you want a temporary browsing session, the menu provides a quick way to open Incognito mode.

Easier payments with Chrome on Android

When you sign in to Chrome on your Android phone using the new single tap option, you’ll soon be able to autofill the payment methods stored in your Google Account for a more convenient shopping experience. Chrome will ask you to confirm the card’s CVC or let you authenticate with biometrics, and then you’re good to go. You can also save a new credit card to your account to use it across all your devices. Each time you save a card to your account, you will receive a confirmation email. You can manage and delete the cards at any time by going to your Payment methods in your account.

Easier Password Management on Chrome desktop

We’ve heard your feedback for more flexibility when it comes to having access to passwords saved to your Google Account. Over the next couple of months, accessing and managing your passwords safely across your devices will become even easier. This can all be done simply by signing in to your Google Account, regardless of whether sync is enabled. You’ll be able to autofill passwords on sites that you previously saved to your account, and when you save a new password, Chrome will let you choose where you want to save it — on the device or in your Google Account. If you choose your account, you can access it on all your devices.

With this change we’re also bringing Chrome’s password generation feature to more people, helping them create strong and unique passwords for the many online accounts people manage when using Chrome.
