Windows 10: Win10 repair install Keep Personal Files and Apps details?

HelloI am in abit of a predicament. Get a crash to desktop in all games I play after 10-20mins, since September last year. Errors point to GPU memory allocation. NVIDIA and vendor but say it is probably either GPU hardware or Windows software issue, based on my diagnostics. I have done every single thing possible to fix [All Win updates/ health and file integrity checks / GPU DDU install in safe mode with many different graphics driver versions. Reseat GPU, Memory stress test, GPU stress test, tried in a new Windows10 profile....... e.t.c. Not done a BIOS update though!Any views on that pleas

If automatic repair fails, you may try to repair them using these commands through Command Prompt under Advanced Options. Follow the steps:

Since you have done most of the troubleshooting steps, I would suggest you to try repairing the Boot Configuration Data through the command prompt by following the steps below and check if it helps.

I suggest you re-built the boot record by following the below commands and check if it helps.

You will have to use Windows 10 installation media to follow the steps to boot into Recovery Environment and try to rebuild BCD.

Step 1: I suggest you to create an installation media for
Windows 10 using the media creation tool:

Step 2: After preparing the installation media, insert it hard reboot the device and follow the below:

• Boot into Windows Recovery Environment using the Windows 10 installation media.
• Click on Repair your computer.
  
• Click on Troubleshoot and in the advanced options.
• Select Command Prompt. Type the following commands into the prompt and press Enter key after each command.

• 
  bootrec /fixmbr
  
• 
  bootrec /fixboot
  
• 
  bootrec /scanos
  
• 
  bootrec /rebuildbcd
  

5. Restart the computer.

NOTE: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting
from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

• As suggested by Sudharshan above, what was the result after performing the Automatic repair?

Performing automatic repair using the media creation tool replaces the corrupted or damaged files from the CD/DVD or USB media. It will not remove or replace your personal files.

Important: It is suggested to use the media creation tool and create the Windows installation media as there might be some files corrupted in the system where these might end up in causing error or failure. Using the Installation media and
performing the auto repair helps to recover the corrupted system files.

Please share us the results performing the above steps using the media creation tool to help you better.

 

Cannot install any apps from windows store

I can't think of anything else.

lx07 already suggested a Repair install, that's all I can think of
