Windows 10: Win10 shuts down discrete NVIDIA Geforce GTX960M GPU with error 43

Windows shuts down my NVidia GPU on boot-up. How can I tell whether it is a hardware fault? Can anyone suggest a method or diagnostic tool that might help? Dell laptop Inspiron 7559.The BIOS v1.3.1 and Windows 10 are up to date including W10 update 10/5/21 and I have installed the full set of drivers from the list Dell that recommends. Currently Windows 10 operates well with the integrated GPU enabled and the Nvidia driver disabled.The Nvidia driver installs correctly but is stopped during boot-up with error code 43. Hello!

I need help. I recently bought an ASUS ROG GL552-DH74 laptop unit with an NVidia GeForce GTX 960M GPU. the first few days it was running perfectly until when playing CSGO, the game suddenly crashed and the message was that the "GPU crashed and now has recovered".
since then I was unable to use the NVidia control panel and the GeForce experience repeatedly downloads the same version of the graphics driver. I also accessed the device manager and the GPU was on "code 43". I tried reinstalling NVidia GeForce experience
and the graphics driver but to no avail. everytime I do it, it still leads to a "code 43" on the GPU. Please help. thank you!

Switching between discrete NVIDIA GPU and integrated Intel CPU/GPU (?)

With reference to your suggestion of "forcing" commercial 4K Bluray playback via NVIDIA GPU, please be advised that I contacted NVIDIA tech support late last year regarding this matter and they informed me, as had others in the past, that due to a lack of
certain hardware based copy protection on all discrete graphics cards, this is not possible. However, the Intel CPU is capable of such playback but I need to be able to switch between the two without having to go into BIOS and rebooting the computer every
time I change the settings, that is, if there even is such an option in the BIOS settings.

So my original question still stands.
