    [Win10] Suddenly started getting Kernel Security Check Failure and Reference by Pointer...


    Hello,


    Over the weekend I started getting a couple blue screen of death errors. My computer has so far been able to restart from them without issue, but I have gotten a couple Kernel Security Check Failure errors and one Reference by Pointer error.


    I have run sfc /scannow, which did not find any integrity violations.


    I have run chkdsk on my hard drive, which found no problems


    I have also tried dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth, which said it completed successfully.

    A couple things worth noting:


    1 If I go to Windows Update, I get an error message saying "A current driver on your PC may be better than the driver we're trying to install. We'll keep trying to install." However, I cannot figure out which driver this message is referring to. Further, it says my current driver is better, so I am not sure whether it could be causing this issue or not.


    2 I recently had a cooling fan issue, and had to take my laptop up to a shop. They ran diagnostics on the laptop and cleaned out the heat sink, but determined they needed to order a part before completing the full repair. I have NOT yet gone through with the repair, but I suppose it's possible their work has messed with the hardware or something like that?


    Can anyone help me identify what exactly is causing these BSoD errors and what I can do to help fix them? I appreciate your time and effort.

    After upgrading to WIndows 10 i get Kernel security check failure

    It happens to me at any time, whithout advise, without signal, etc.

    Kernel Security Check Failure error

    My win 8.1 laptop is giving Kernel Security Check Failure error at random and laptop keeps rebooting. Pl suggest how to fix this
