Windows 10: Win10 System Colors vs earlier Windows

I've seen lots of questions about Win10 system colors that are just not adequate.


I found this earlier question

That seems to definitely be the right place to look. But with all of the dis"improvements" in Win10 , removing user control of system colors. So now the default registry entry looks like this:




The problem is I don't see any entries for the things I want to fix. Or any that seem to apply to the places I want to tweak. For example the Excel Row/Column selection colors, the color applied to Column E Row 20 indicators




So what I'm wondering is if anyone has earlier versions of Windows, XP would be nice, but Vista or Win7 would also help. Could you take a look at this location in the registry

Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Colors

and if there are more key names, give me a screen capture. If there aren't, also please say so, so I know I don't have to look at it.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

As the above steps doesn't work, I suggest you to try the below and check.

I suggest you to restore the system to the previous point where PC was working normally. To do so kindly follow the below given steps:

• 
  Press Windows + I key and click on Update and security.
  
• 
  Click on Recovery, and click on
  Restart under Advance startup.
  
• 
  In the Windows Recovery Environment, on the Choose an option screen, click
  'Troubleshoot'.
  
• 
  Click, Advanced Options and then click on
  System Restore.
  
• 
  Follow the onscreen suggestion to restore your PC to earlier point.

Window background color - I don't appear to be able to do this on windows 10 as the change color scheme bit isn't there.

I suggest you to follow the below steps to change color scheme for Windows 10 and check if it helps.

• Right click on “Desktop screen”.
• Then click on “Personalize”.
• Click on “Colors”.
• And change the color accordingly.
