Windows 10: WIN10 Task view did not show opened file

Discus and support WIN10 Task view did not show opened file in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I got a problem with my task view.     WIN10 Task view did not show opened file


    I got a problem with my task view. After reinstall WIN10 due to some hang up problem, the task view only show file that was open from internet explorer or onedrive. All other file opened from local drive did not show in task view.

    If I keep onedrive open and in sync mode, then task view can see the opened file. If I keep onedrive off sync mode, task view will not show any opened file from local drive.

    Anyone can give solution?

    windows 10 task view

    Recently upgraded to Win10. Task View worked fine. Microsoft pushed several updates a couple of days after upgrade, Now task view icon shows me open desktops but shows no button to create a new one. Winkey+ctrl+D does nothing.

    Any suggestions?

    Task View / Timeline is enabled but won't show recently opened files

    Hi,

    Task View / Timeline is enabled. It shows me my recent MS Edge history.

    But it won't show me the files I have recently opened.

    How can I get Task View to show me the recently opened files?

    I also observed that using File Explorer I am ALSO not able to see my recent files. I have been trying to enable the checkbox under View > Options > "Show recently used files in Quick access". I click apply. But the setting refuses to "stick" and whenever
    I come back to check on that setting it remains unchecked.

    So I suspect there is a conflict between some of my privacy settings, my file explorer app settings, etc, that is causing Task View to fail to show the information about my recently opened files.

    Please help.

    To understand the issue better, I would need more information from your end.

    • What happens when you open task view from task bar?
    • Are you able to switch between all of your open apps on multiple desktops?

    Are you trying to disable task view feature in Windows 10? If yes, please try these steps.

    a. Right-click on task bar.

    b. Uncheck show task view button.
