My computer with Win10 keeps 3 times per day trying to install Win11. This was not scheduled by me nor was I asked permission. I get error notice that my CPU is not supported. HOWEVER my computer just shuts down right in middle of my working and tries to update. How do I make it stop?I have disabled Windows Update in services. I have also entered this @ command prompt: to no availCommand 1Win10 tries to update to win11 even though my CPU not supported :paste the following command to enable Targeted Updates to a specific release:reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /v TargetReleaseversion /t REG_DWORD /d 1 Comm

  2. Win10 tries to update to win11 even though my CPU not supported

My computer with Win10 keeps (3 times per day) trying to install Win11. This was not scheduled by me nor was I asked permission.

I get error notice that my CPU is not supported. HOWEVER my computer just shuts down (right in middle of my working) and tries to update.

How do I make it stop?

I have disabled Windows Update in services.

I have also entered this @ command prompt: (to no avail)

    Command 1:
Paste the following command to enable Targeted Updates to a specific release:

    reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /v TargetReleaseversion /t REG_DWORD /d 1

    Command 2:
If you are on Windows 10 version 21H2, use the second command below:
    reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /v TargetReleaseversionInfo /t REG_SZ /d 21H2

If you are on Windows 10 version 21H1, use the second command below:
    reg add HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate /v TargetReleaseversionInfo /t REG_SZ /d 21H1
You should see the “The command completed successfully” message when you enter the commands.

Restart your computer. Did not work.

    Please help.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

  4. Win10 tries to update to win11 even though my CPU not supported

    B3 Phenom support

I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.
