Windows 10: Win10 update - programs must be run as admin - and 2 hard drives not recongnized

I ran win 10 updates on

1 - After my 2 hard drives that do not have programs are "not linked" not being recognized by windows and I did nothing to them and they have worked without issue for 4 years.

2 - I have to run every program as the administrator to get it to open.

I have ran ttp://www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx & SFC Scan - no issue found


I ran http://download.microsoft.com/downl...B-A23B-5C3A6B5974E3/microsoftaccounts.diagcab

and got the following:



then I ran the DISM scan and no issues were found.

I have done this process twice now, the first time it worked for a day and then reverted back to the issue...

Free hard drive backup/restore program?

I am looking for a free (freeware) program that will back up and restore a hard drive. I'm looking to clone a few external hard drives. If the program will backup the used space instead of the whole drive this will be awesome! Thanks for any suggestions.

As per the description, I would suggest you to follow the below methods, and check.



Method 1: I recommend you to check the performance of the hard disk in the task manager.

To check follow the steps,

1. Press Windows + X, select Task manager.

2. Under processes tab, monitor the disk usage, and also check under the Performance tab.



Method 2: Also, follow the below steps to run the check disk.

• 
  Press Windows + X, select Command prompt (admin) mode.
  
• 
  Type in the following command which will run a check disk.
  

Chkdsk /r/f

3. Hit Enter
Disclaimer: While performing chkdsk on the hard drive if any bad sectors are found on the hard drive when chkdsk tries to repair that sector if any data available on that might be lost.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
