  1. Win10 UPDATES MESSES WITH MY RESOLUTION

    I have an older Dell Optiplex GX960 SFF desktop (64 bit).

    The automatic updates have been changing my screen resolution from 1920X1080 to 1600X1200. This stretches everything. I have attempted to fix the resolution back to 1920X1080, but that resolution is not available in display settings. After an update, the highest res available is 1600X1200.

    My only recourse each time is to restore my PC to a date prior to the update.

    (One thought I've had is that Windows sees my system as 32 bit instead of 64 bit, maybe?)

    I am looking into getting a different graphics card that will allow me to set up both of my monitors for extended display, where the current graphics card will only allow me to use a pigtail adaptor. Might this solve the resolution issue as well?

    Is there any another way for me to keep the updates, yet fix my resolution?

    :)

    Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
