Windows 10: Win10: What's up with Folder keyboard shortcuts? Why did they have to ruin it?

Before you could do a combination of keys to get where you want very fast. Like Alt+V+D was Details View. Alt+V+L was List View. In the time it took me to reach part way to the mouse I would have done the shortcut AND not be away from the keyboard. Mice waste so much time compared to keyboard shortcuts. Anyway, now Alt+V brings up the View menu but you can't do anything else pretty much without the mouse. Or I'm doing it all wrong. What kind of mentally deranged person could have possibly dreamed this up? And what kind of manager could have OK'd this? What is good is when you press Al

I have a list of win10 keyboard shortcuts but some do not do as suggested. For example : F2 doesn't allow me to change the name of the item - but F4 does. I got the list from Windows 10 website ; Keyboard shortcuts in Windows - Microsoft Support

Win10 Keyboard Shortcuts


The win+shift+left/right arrow shortcuts are indeed on that list, but they are not (and never did) work for me in Win10. Actually I'm using Win10 on a different (new) PC, so maybe it's the machine that is the problem. Does it work for you (if you have multiple monitors)? Do you have any idea why this would not be working for me or if there is anything I could do? Most other shortcuts seem to work (win+up/down arrow works correctly for example) but some don't (win+left/right arrow doesn't work). I am using an HP convertible (basically a tablet with a detachable bluetooth keyboard/touchpad), maybe that's the problem?
