Windows 10: win10 - win11- win?

Hello! At the beginning of 2021, I replaced my computer fleet with young, refurbished win10 compatible machines that are still strong and work perfectly today, I can throw these away now because of the i5-6500 and i5-7500...what computers should I buy that may be compatible with the system after win11 and I won't have to throw them away in a few years?Simply put, if I buy a PC optimized for win 11 now, will it be compatible with the next version of windows?Or should I let go and use the current machines with Linux for a few more years?

Win11 Can't start Device Manager as Administrator in Win+x menu, can in Win10; intentional?

Background: Main / local account is 'Standard', and a separate Administrator account is enabled with password, for admin tasks. UAC is set to 'Max'.

Win+x opens the Power User Menu, of which Device Manager can be accessed.

• In Win10, if you hold Ctrl+Shift when you click Device manager, it starts as Administrator.
  
• In Win11, Ctrl-Shift doesn't work, and you can't run as Administrator.
  

Workaround: To run Device Manager as Administrator, either:

• Start an elevated command prompt (Win+R, cmd, Ctrl-Shift-Enter), then run devmgmt.msc
  
• Start directly (Win+R, devmgmt.msc, Ctrl-Shift-Enter)
  

It is a massive issue for us because all our client machine logins are now mandated to be 'Standard' (non-Administrator) users, and we still need to be able to do Admin tasks easily.

This is a major productivity killer. Is it intentional, and if so why, and can it be overridden? Is it a design philosophy change in Win11?

WIN11 and other WIN on LAN?

Hi friends,

I also have PCs with WIN7 and 8 on the network. I recently bought another machine with WIN10 on the network and there was a problem with accessing data from older WINs. After modifying WIN10 (SMB1 permission), it was possible to access data on a PC with older WIN. But last week I bought another PC for the network, but already with the WIN11 system. The same problem with access to data on LAN with older OS WIN. But this time I was unable to access this data on WIN7 and 8 even after changing the network settings to WIN11.
Does WIN11 have a different LAN work system than WIN10?
What should I set in WIN11 so that it can access data on a PC with WIN 7 and 8?
