Windows 10: Win11 21H2 OS Build 22000.593. “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects” not working.

I change the owner of the folder, check the “Replace owner on subcontainers and objects” checkbox, add a user with "Full control" and do "Apply" - the owner of the folder changes - but the owner of the files in the folder remains the same and the new user is not added. Changing ownership and granting rights to each file individually works. But it somehow "comme il faut" poke on each file separately. Why doesn't group change of the owner and permissions of files together with the change of the folder work when the checkbox "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" is checked? Previously, it

Cannot find "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" in folder's Security settings.

I downloaded Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center, but when I installed it, I received the error message "The requested operation requires elevation" (tried both 32-bit and 64-bit, I'm on 64) . So I kept googling till I found out why this error occurs,
and I need to "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects". So I followed all the steps but the button is simply not there. Please help.

Also, I'm the only user on this PC, ergo I'm the admin.

I followed tour tutorial to change some registry keys permissions, and found it very easy to follow because it is quite detailed and well explained as always with Brinhk's. However, I fill the case to "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects" (step 11). Under "Applies to" I can red "This key and subkeys", but it doesn't work, and I get an error message:Unable to set new owner on key name
Access is denied
For the change to be accepted, I have to empty the case to "Replace owner on subcontainers and objects".

Therefore, I have to repeat the same for each subcontainer, which takes me a very long time because I have to do that on several registry keys with many subkeys on different parts of the registry.
Does it have to be done in a special order? I start with "Owner Unable to display current owner. Change", and then go to the "Add" button.

How can I make it work, please?

This problem might be caused due to permission issues.

We would suggest you to manually take the ownership of this document folder and check if it helps.

To take ownership of a file or folder

• Open Windows Explorer, and then locate the file or folder you want to take ownership of.
• Right-click the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
• Click Advanced, and then click the Owner tab.
• Click Edit, and then do one of the following:
• (Optional) To change the owner of all subcontainers and objects within the tree, select the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects check box.
