Windows 10: Win11 23H2 fails to reboot after installation of latest update KB5043076

I did an automatic update last night to KB5044376. This morning I notice my Win11 computer was still on even though was supposed to reboot and turn off. The screen indicated that a reboot was unsuccessful and gave an option to repair what caused the failure to reboot - but it was unsuccessful. I ran the repair tool independently, still no successful reboot. After trying multiple reboots, all unsuccessful. I loaded a restore point immediately prior to the update and the computer booted fine with everything in place as expected - operating normally. Some details:My system:Update that was instal

Thank you for your reply. The machine was recently upgraded to 23H2 from 22H2 through in-place upgrade. I had to use in-place upgrade as the earlier monthly security update of 22H2 was also failing to install as none of the steps as suggested above by you didn't fix the issue earlier. Do I need to run in-place upgrade again?

KB5034123 installation fails on Win11 x64 23H2. Tried manual installation, ran sfc command, ran Windows Update Troubleshooter nothing worked. Here is the link to CBS logs folder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Install of 23h2 on Win11 wipes out successful install of 22h2

My lenovo came with win11 21h2 and has been trying to install 22h2 for months. I finally went through the 15 step process (exaggeration) to fix it and finally 22h2 installed correctly.

Filled to the brim with hope, I tried the 23h2 install. Not only did it fail, it regressed my back to 21h2.

So I am officially dropping support of Microsoft. If they can't something simple like an update to work dependably, I don't expect the next release to be any better.
