Windows 10: Win11 Annoying Problems

Bought a new LG Gram 17” laptop with Windows10 and I upgraded to Windows11. All looked good for a while but recently I noticed the following VERY annoying problems. 1. Opening a PDF file is fine but if I want to open again the same file or another PDF I get instead the properties window of that file. I don’t have Acrobat Reader and perhaps I switch to it? From the Web one solution was to reboot which is ok for a while but then the same problem persist. 2. The same as above happens when I try to open a DOCX or XLSX files. The first time it works but after I get the properties windows.

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...

That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your speakers. Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter

Need some advice on computer problems.

Run HDtune (free version) on you hard drive. but most likely that the problem. You can also test your memory with Memtest86 as suggested above
